East Coast Museum of Technology

East Coast Museum of Technology

This is one of the activities we did last term. Last term my ch

So as we walked in I saw grenades. I wondered why are there grenades in there? I looked around and saw a boat it was very big and Fly told me that’s a person's boat who lived in Gisborne and that he killed animals for meat and took the meat to England because it was cold there.

We went to the next place I saw lots of chainsaws and big printers and I saw a pig skin rugby ball and a pig skin soccer ball too. We saw the old way to call someone you  had to put the number in and it would go to telephone switchboard and the operator would plug your line into who you wanted to speak to.

We went to the next place we saw same creepy stuff, like mannequins with their arms cut off and red stuff on the mannequins. We saw a mannequins foot and then when we looked back it was gone. We saw an old rusty washing machine.

I felt thankful because we went to a museum and found new things out like how old washing machines work.

Going to Te Poho o Rawiri Marae

It was a Thursday morning and I was at the Te Poho o Rawiri Marae sitting down on the concrete playing hand games with my friends. Ow ow ow  I sat on a rock. We went in  a line of boys at the back and girls at the front. Bang as we went inside the marae they introduced themselves. .We sang some songs, they talked and then all the boys got up and the girls got up but they just  stood  there and all the boys honga them. Then we went out for morning tea I saw a dark brown horse like a rotten banana.

After morning tea I played with the rugby ball with my friends. The bell went and we went back to the grass and sat down they put all of us into groups. I was in group 2 and we were going up Titirangi first, it was really tiring until we got to the place were we need to get to.The fun part was when we came down cos we got to run down the hill and we got fresh air in our face. When we got back we moved to our next rotation which was Whakapapa and Whakapiri.

We had lunch then we played and then we carried on with our rotations. I didn't stay the night, my mum came and picked me up.

Cross Country

Cross Country 2019

We were walking to the start line, we all lined up. "On your marks, get set." Bang! Matua Nic smashed the blocks together. I went off running as hard as I could. I was in first for a bit, but I got taken over.  We went down the hill and then took a right turn.  I couldn't sprint any more so I started to walk. Then I went up the hill and went down.  Then I started to sprint. "Go Cash!" yelled Dana.
